Pulley Applications
Pulley transmission is widely used in places where power is transmitted over long distances, such as mining machinery, mechanical processing equipment, textile machinery, packaging machinery, lathes, and forging machines. This transmission method has the following advantages:
Mitigate load impact: It can effectively buffer the impact of external loads and protect mechanical parts from damage.
Smooth operation: The operation process is smooth, the noise and vibration generated are relatively low, and a comfortable working environment is provided.
Simple structure and convenient adjustment: The structural design is simple, the adjustment process is relatively easy, and it is convenient for daily maintenance.
Manufacturing and installation precision requirements are not high: Compared with meshing transmission, pulley transmission has lower requirements for the manufacturing and installation precision of pulleys, which reduces the manufacturing difficulty.
Overload protection function: In the case of overload, the pulley transmission can automatically slip, which plays a role in protecting mechanical parts.
Large center distance adjustment range: The adjustment range of the center distance of the two axes is wide, which can meet different installation requirements.
However, pulley transmission also has some shortcomings:
Slightly low transmission efficiency: Due to the friction loss, the transmission efficiency of pulley transmission is relatively low.
Regular maintenance required: The belt needs to be inspected and replaced regularly to ensure the reliability of the transmission.
